Located on the opposite side of the river from the Cathedral you can walk across the river via main railway bridge which has a pedestrian and cycle path. Ahead of you is a tall round tower. Follow the obvious path and you’ll arrive at the foot of the tower. There is a large sign outside saying ‘ Cologne View’. Go inside and pay 5euro per adult. You then take the lift to the outside viewing platform. Tall glass panels surround the edge. The views of Cologne are amazing and you can walk all the way around to see different vistas of the city. It’s definitely worth going to. Check website for opening times.

Essentially a viewing platform across the river from the city center just at the end of the Hohenzollern bridge. An overview look at the city. Many of the landmarks like the Koelnmesse (an important WWII site for detentions and deportations) become more apparent, especially after a visit to the NS Documentation Center.

This looks like a modern office building and is across the road from the train station. It was 5 euros to go up 28 floors and is well weoth the month, cam see the main bridge, river rhein, cologne cathedral a s much more and is great for a sunset photo. Well worth the money for a 360 degree view If you keep an eye on the grass verges and buses nearby you may see some wild rabbits in the early morning
