We had fun and recomend the Guided Tour through the old stylish brewery houses. The Guide was speeking fluent English a brought us closer to the 'rhythem' of this ancient city! http://www.brauhaustouren-in-koeln.de/

This is very close to the part of town that has left historical feeling with the small narrow streets and narrow houses. Also, the shopping area, Philharmonic, Ludwig Museum and the *Cathedral* are so close. Take your boat trip on the Rhine river, sit in...More

The bank of the Rhine is home to restaurants, cafes, gardens, shops and attractions like the chocolate museum further down. You can also catch cruise boats from here or just relax, have a drink and take in the view.

I enjoyed my visit to Cologne, especially walking along the Rhine passing many restaurants and cafes along this parkway area. River boats were docked along the way. I stopped for a few drinks of the local beer. It was a lovely relaxing day.

The Frankenwerft in my opinion is a better walk than Rheinauhafen as it takes in more of the picturesque views of the city. However, I do advise you to do both of them.

Frankenwerft is an excellent place to sit down and enjoy the day. It's in the Old Town along the River Rhine where many restaurants are located. Many local people come there as well. During nice days it becomes really crowdy.
