This fountain gets under my skin, which, although I find it ugly and repellant, is a sign to me that it has sent it's message and I have received it. The artist has something to say about the love of money, and it isn't pretty....More

The Money Cycle fountain (Kreislauf des Geldes) (1976) symbolizes how euros and cents wander from one hand to the next. The people shown symbolize avarice, greed, patronage and begging. The water in the fountain flows all year round, since it is fed by the thermal...More

Because we didn't saw the name of it and thought it had to do with disabled persons, we had to inform us. In fact, this monument has many surprised admirors, as we are, and we understand it now that we know the correct name of...More

Aachen has several fun fountains. This one, "the circulation of money" is perhaps a cautionary tale!

In the vicinity to Münsterplatz and Elisenbrunnen you find this nice fountain decorated with different characters showing how they handle money.

Aachen has a number of these quirky bronze statues. This one is called the cycle of money; not sure whether it's pro or con! The water isn't cold so I assume it's fed from the local hot springs. Worth a look.

This fountain represents the circle of money, with a critic view on corruption. I found it very amusing and deep in meaning, other than being albs very well executed. worth it

I went to see the church and was walking past this. I found the people to be weird and creepy. Whatever point the artist was trying to make I must have missed.
