We had heard about this train and decided to give it a go. Just loved the route, starting at Doberan and slowly making its way through the shopping street, before heading out into the country. We went to the last station on our first trip Kuhlungsbon and spent time looking at the interesting little museum there. We made other plans... More

We went in the morning at 9:30 from Bad Doberan on. It was Monday. Train was nearly empty so we had enough space for the buggy and our dog, great. Nice 45min ride through the country. On the way back around lunch train was full but we found free seats. Only negative aspect, expensive.

While on a Baltic Cruise, we decided to go on a ship tour which incorporated this charming small train ride from Bad Doberan to Kuhlungsborn with a stop at Heiligendamn, the trainride takes about 35 to 40 minutes to complete a 10 mile ( or 15.4 Km ) trip on only a 900 mm Gauge. As it runs through the... More

Do take the trip from Bad D. to Heiligendam - it's a charming old steam train with basic carriages and the quick journey goes through town and then pretty countryside. It's quick, cheap and well worth it!

This is a unique experience and passes through beautiful countryside. The train actually shares the road with cars parked on the side and people just walking past. Houses and front gardens are virtually within touching distance. Great photo opportunity when the 2 trains pass. This is a child experience for both adults and children as it terminates at the seaside!

This is a train ride that you will remember for the rest of your life. The trip doesn't take very long about 40-45 minutes but passes through truly beautiful countryside. It must be one of the only steam train rides that take you right up the middle of the local town where there is only a footpath between you and the houses/... The Mollie train takes you along the main road out into the country. The same trip can be done by car or bike. The Mecklenburg district is the least inhabited areas in Germany. To my surprise, the only wildlife we saw in the fields was what appeared to be some kind of grey crane. Agricultural seems to be the main... More

Our trip on the Mollie Steam Train was part of our cruise ships excursion to nearby Bad Doberman and the Mecklenburg countryside. We went on the train one way to Kuhlingsborn a seaside town. It was a great experience as we steamed along enjoying the countryside, smelling the coal from the engine, the small carriages and seeing the lovely houses.... More

We had a great time in the Molli Bahn, The best experience is the smell of coal & steam. And if you are in the Boggie next to the Engine, you could also feel the black coal steam. It was a really short trip but along the country side. Worth the Euros Spent.
