One of the highlites of our visit to Stralsund

This is a great place to learn about the natural history of the Baltic area. Great displays of the creatures that live in and around this area. Wonderful place to bring kids. Note... read more

It is probably the only thing to do in a rainy day. Besides that, nothing special or remarcable. Perhaps if you go with children, it could be a little interesting for them. But well, too much advertisement for so little to see. Oh, remarkable, yes! The rudeness of the employees: they are not interested in providing you with information on... More

This is a great place to learn about the natural history of the Baltic area. Great displays of the creatures that live in and around this area. Wonderful place to bring kids. Note there is lots of walking and lots of stairs at Oceaneum so wear comfortable shoes! Most of the information on the displays has been translated into English... More

A very nicely detailed history and current status of the Baltic Ocean environment. There appeared to be detailed explanations of each exhibit in German for its visitors and some explanation in English. A superior approach to the exhibits may have added some more English explanation as well as Italian and French.

They have some fine skeletons from whales, and some okay aquariums. But to much of the place is about reading, this is not very fun for kids. They are very focused on the local environment, so they only have local species on display. The place is okay, but not a "must do"

A lot to see, and really interesting. Calculate at least two hours if the subject interest you. The place is full of oceanic history, have several small and larger aquariums, and are well organized. Tips. Buy tickets at the touristinformation Office at the old Square. Saves you time upon arrival - skip the que. But the best tip is to... More

Great day out in this museum/Aquarium . A bit pricey, but worth it. I suggest to buy the combi ticket including the Meeresmuseum.

This place was awesome, especially for our 6 year old who is a budding scientist. Our 4 year old also greatly enjoyed this aquarium. I also really appreciated how they showed how trash affects sea life.

We’ve been there with our kids. Lots of very interesting things to see for both, kids & adults. Not much more to say then, a must go when there. Highly recommendable, reserve a few hours at least

There was a huge line out front the building when we arrived. However the line moved reasonably fast. Because the museum is so big you don't feel like you're in a crowded place. Even at the aquariums we had al the time to watch the fish. The exhibition itself is a nice mixture of an interactive museum and aquariums. I... More

Just amazing, breathtaking. I love the underwater world and thus I search for places like these. This one's my favourite so far :)
