This Church is really beautiful, and there is so many details to enjoy. The church organ is gigantic and really worth seeing. This is for sure the church to visit in Rostock

St Mary’s church and its astronomical clock was the only saving grace during my visit to Rostock. Rostock is otherwise a standard East German city that is modernized. It no longer has the quaint feel like you do in Tallinn in Estonia or in Dansk...More

Typical North German Brick Gothic church, which hasn’t changed much since the 14th century but which contains an amazing astronomical clock. Well worth seeing just for the clock!

Visited Rostock from a cruise ship. Found this church and decided to look inside. It is very impressive. Not the usual ornate, gold, carvings or paintings, but very beautiful in its own way. Really high ceilings, very large alter, and the Astronomical clock is something...More

This was one of the best churches that I have seen for a while. The floor was fascinating with the very old tomb stones with some dating back to the 17 th century. The best part of the church was the fabulous astronomical clock which...More
