A beautiful botanical garden. A must see in Hannover. A huge variety of plants in a beautiful environment. Also there is the aquarium, sea life, and the mausoleum of the reigning family of hannover. Easy access with metro lines 4 and 5.

A great place to spend a couple of relaxing hours. Especially rewarding and informative for the gardening enthusiast. Don't miss the orchid collection in the greenhouse -- it's amazing!

I found it very relaxing to stroll around the park admiring the beautiful flowers and plants. The park isn’t very big – easily covered in approx. 1 – 1.5 hours. The cacti and tropical flower sections were the park’s highlights

We visited the Berggarten as it was inclueded in our ticket for the Herrenhauser Garten. Unlike this latter, the Bergarten is more of a botanical garden, less structured, wilder. They have some greenhouses where cactuses and orchids (the biggest collection in Europe!) are exposed.

Magical, really. After my visit I felt really relaxed and tranquil. Staff of the garden did great job of collecting all these plants and presenting them in such a way that it looks like an adventure. You just can feel the spirit of this place.
