Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The Kurhaus is beautiful as is Wiesbaden. I would have rated it 5 but the city of Wiesbaden is a mess of traffic, construction and road closures. It's almost like the city does not want tourists so they've made it purposefully impossible to drive into or out of town. Save yourself the frustration. There is beautiful architecture all over Germany, pick a different city.

The Kurhaus ("cure house") is the spa house in Wiesbaden and capital of Hesse. It is home to the city’s convention centre and Wiesbaden Casino (Spielbank). If you have an interest in history, please refer to the Old Kurhaus Wiesbaden (1810 to 1904 – then this new building was built). Located outside is the Bowling Green which is home to two fountains and Kurhaus colonnade (129 meters of columned hall). The Kurhaus is divided into two equal-sized wings. The south wing is home to a number of small function rooms, while the north wing houses a small ballroom, a restaurant, and the main portion of the Wiesbaden Casino (Called Spielbank)

I walked to the Kurhaus from the main train station (easy and scenic walk). I did not go inside the building, but I walked around outside and in the gardens.
The building is very striking. Several tourists were posing for photos in front of it. It’s a very large building. Around the side, there’s a small lake that unfortunately was completely drained when I was there! I have no idea if that’s a yearly seasonal thing or if they drained it to work on it.
The area around the Kurhaus seemed to be a popular area for people to walk, picnic, or meet up with friends.

A must for Nature lovers. Not the biggest park, but perfect in the summer for picnics, joggers, doggies and a lovely cafe with live music in the background

For the people who do not know, (how could they), the Kurhaus in Wiesbaden was the military's service club. The Frederich von Theirsch Saal was the room where we all watched the weekend floor shows and danced the night away three times a week, also where I met my wife 60 years ago. There was also a snack bar next to the dance room where you could get a quick snack and drink (no alcohol allowed). I can't tell you how many times we took that Sunday afternoon stroll through the Kurpark and stopped for a drink. At the time I did not appreciate the beauty of this building but at 20 years old I was there to do my job. Now I marvel at all the beauty of this wonderful city that I bonded with for life. After 19 trips back to this wonderful country I hope to return this year for perhaps the last time. My heart and soul will always remain in Wiesbaden and Germany.

We were stunned by visiting this impressive building. The Kurhaus Wiesbaden, a cure house as it means, built in 1907, is a place of marvelous historic architecture and state-of-the-art comfort, the perfect blend of relaxation, experience, beauty, and functionality. Since its inauguration, it has been a center of social events in the city. With its twelve magnificent halls and salons, it offers the ideal venue for galas, seminars, conferences, and congresses. It has also been used for filming TV series and movies. The neoclassical architecture houses a convention center and a casino. The building is divided into two equal-sized wings. In the south wing there is a large central pillar-lined concert hall. The north wing houses the smaller ballroom, a restaurant, and the main portion of the Casino, or Spielbank, which offers roulette, blackjack, and poker. During the 1980s, the Kurhaus underwent an extensive renovation and was equipped with modern conference technology. A landmark of an elegant city, it is surrounded by a lot of green, and splendid historical buildings. A complex of 12 rooms and parlors of varying size and style, several restaurants and the Casino, all assembled under one roof. For me, this has a significant status – my son Wasif Sagri attended his graduation ceremony at this splendid convention center on completion of his MBA in International Business Administration.

A pretty building with a casino. The most interesting thing was learning that Elvis Presley met Priscilla at that casino.

During my last visit to Wiesbaden I got some tickets for a Verdi Gala Evening in the Kurhaus. The architecture of the building is fabulous and it is well worth your time to take your seat early and marvel the decorative details of the concert hall.
But another jewel in the same house is Cafe Käfer's where you can enjoy a light meal before the show or maybe some drinks afterwards - but definitely, don't miss it. Food is consistently very good and the ambient is great (most times there is a live pianist performing) and the place is filled with festive people on their way to or from musical concerts or the elegant casino (where Dostojewski lost his money) housed under the same roof.
And if you should arrive by car, use the underground parking below the area right there and you walk inside the building from your car to all these marvelous places described above

I stopped by the Kurhaus to check out the architecture. I really enjoyed walking around even though I do not gamble. There is a large lawn in front knwn as the Bowling Green and a park is behind the building.
It is near the Hessian State Theater as well.

If you want to just sit, there are benches outside along the lake. If you would like to drink a beverage, there is a beer garden in the back. In front there is an outdoor place for a meal and beverage
