Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Villa Clementine was built between 1878 and 1882 in the Roman- Pompeian style. It was named after the Mainz manufacturer Ernst Mayer wife (Clementine), who dies before it was completed. Today the villa is used for local events and is home to the Wiesbadener Press Clubs. Plans were in place to demolish it in the 1960's (To build an underground station). However, these were abandoned in 1973 and a restoration of the villa took place in 2009. The Villa Clementine achieved worldwide fame in 1888 with the "Wiesbaden Prince Robbery" and the Serbian Queen Natalie renting a room with her son Crown Prince Alexander, after she had left her husband, King Milan Obrenowitsch. It's a nice looking building and we saw it as part of our own planned walking tour in Wiesbaden.

Th hops was build for clementine, but she died before she could move in ... now literature will give this place it's story - Boodenbrooks was filmed in here and besides their interesting literature program (gernaly only german) it is a fantastic place to see a 19th century villa from the inside.

Look online to find readings and book presentations by well known authors. There is also a very nice café where you can while away the time with a book and some coffee and cake. Plus: the fanciest chandeliers in the city.

Nice architecture of the exterior. There isn't much to see on the inside. There is a small cafe but we did not visit it. Very pretty chandelier in the cafe that you can see from the door way.
