I explored most of this park in November 2016. It was very cloudy that day (low clouds) so everything has this hazy, creepy quality that was kind of cool. I was not expecting to visit Kassel for the day but I'm so glad I did!

Beautiful park with amazing buildings. Beautiful scenery and perfect for walks. We went there with 2 and 5 year old and they loved seeing and feeding the ducks. We walked to Lowenburg Castle which was a very pleasant winter walk.

Top down is the key, and the bus drops you off under the Herkules statue. By the time you are at the bottom you have been served a treat!

This park is a gem for the people of Kassel, so many trails and sights to see here, it’s huge. Bring good shoes for sure and enjoy.

End of the line for the #1 Tram, less than 2 Euro ride, machines sell tickets on the tram. Almost too big to see in a day, good weather desirable. Beautifully kept park.

Was visiting friends from my army days, did a wee hour of The city. This was one of the highlights. Fantastic view, will be even better then the maintenance is done

Bergpark is a very nice park where you can walk extensively. There are beautifully laid gardens, ponds, rock formations and many paths. We ended up walking all the way to the top of this hill.

Really beautiful park containing everything we expect from a park. A waterbody, rose garden, osm building, tourist information center, a museum, the Hercules monument and much more. Very good connectivity to the local transport. The one visiting the region, must visit the park.

My friends and I were very lucky to have wonderful weather to explore the Bergpark. You'll take streetcar #1 to it's end point (where it makes a loop), and continue your way uphill into the park. Most paths are accessible to wheelchairs. All along the...More
