The Commerzbank-Arena stands on the site of its great predecessor – the legendary Frankfurt Waldstadion. It forms an integral part of German sporting history and has always been the focal point of life in the region. The Waldstadion has gone through many changes in the past and has now, at the start of the new millennium, been completely refurbished and given a new strategic concept. The fantastic sportsmen who have played here and the spectacular football matches that have taken place are never to be forgotten. The new arena was built for sports, concerts, business events and all kinds of large gatherings. Depending on the event, it can hold up to 55,000 spectators – multi-functionality is an important aspect. The exact circumference is 860 metres; the length is 210 metres and the width 190 metres. No pillars obstruct direct view onto the pitch and the front rows are only a few metres away from the edge of the field.

Being from the States, I wouldn't consider myself a big soccer fan but after going to the season finale match, wow was I impressed. We were able to buy seats right at the ticket window outside of the stadium on game day. Also, if you...More

Went to the arena to attend a Depeche Mode concert, the arena is just 5 minute walk from a train station, also is one station away from the airport and two stations away from the Central Train station in Frankfurt. Easy access. Stayed on the...More

We went to the stadium for the concert of Coldplay (which was amazing!) and the facilities of the stadium are really great. The architecture and surroundings really added to the overall concert experience! Easily accessible as well both by car and train.

Went for a concert some years ago and arrived by car - bad idea! Take the train or, like we did now this time, book a hotel near by and arrive by foot, that is even better. These days you have to worry about security...More

One of the best place for concerts. We were there for Coldplay and it was amazing. The train station wich is located near the arena is one advantege. You can get from the central station to the Commerzbank arena very easy

Overall this arena was nice to watch a music festival but the way they had some of the seating set up it was beside the arena where you couldn't even see the stage.

It's a good enough stadium, similar to what you would get in the states, if a bit more spartan. Minimalist design, easily accessible to public transportation. There are no handrails to get up or down to you seat so this can be challenging for people...More

Amazing venue for the dance music festival WCD. Facilities and arenas were great. Bars and stands were all well organised and the atmosphere was incredible. Only crtiscism would be the cards that you had to top up to pay for drinks, these would be better...More

Good location for everyone and everything . Concerts, festival or football game. The big stadium area is fully covered, so no worries of rain or bad weather can ruin your party!

It's one of the better stadiums in Germany. You can purchase food and drinks inside but be prepared to wait as the queues can get rather long and do not seem to move very fast. It's best to arrive early and get something if you...More

Dear Zahraa, it depends on the event and the promoter. Sometimes they offer the possibility to store bags, helmets etc. at the entrances to the stadium. But this does not count for every show... The easiest would be: do not... More
