Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

As many others we just stumbled into this beautiful catholic and peaceful oasis in the middle of busy Frankfurt. I noticed a painting of my beloved Saint Anthony with the name of the cluster just on a wall and we went inside. Peaceful courtyard lead you to the altar of the Virgin Mary where you can light some candles. Inside you’ll find a space for prayers. Nothing big going on compared to other churches in Europe but the peace you find there is definitely special. Not a lot of people/tourists which we really enjoyed. The small area to pray to Saint Anthony was filled with candles and flowers. A signed that many, like me, put our worries in his hands. We will be back when we have more time to sit and meditate.

Visit the church or the back yard of the church to rest, pray and enjoy the silence. To get to the back yard use the back door within the church or just walk the lane between the church and the book store. An amazing place. Don't miss it.

Capuchin Friars maintain this oasis of peace in the heart of Frankfurt am Main's city center. A small, quiet courtyard accessible from the north side of the church features a shrine to Our Lady, patroness of the church and parish. Confessors are on duty many hours of the day. At the back of the church, the shrine to St. Anthony of Padua is frequented by donors who light a candle. Mass is well-attended, and the friars recite Evening Prayer publicly in the church daily.

This is a large parish church. The exterior is perhaps the most interesting part as the church was destroyed in the air raids of 1944 and subsequently largely rebuilt. There is a lovely painted medieval memorial to a knight and his lady outside the church and a fine painting of St Anne and the Virgin inside.

Like an oasis in the desert, this quiet church stood out from the manic shopping and drinking activities we were just passing through from Konstablerwache to Zeil and then Kleinmarkthalle. Suddenly it was all quiet and peaceful.

This church is still functioning and there are people praying there. Give it due respect.

Lovely little church away from the tourists. Only small, but very lovely inside. Outside is simple and the surrounding cobble stone streets add to the beauty of this lovely old church.

Liebfrauenkirche ( Our Lady or Dear Lady ) is yet another fantastic church located in the heart of Frankfurt.
Built between the 14th and 16th century ,it's now a monastery church and looks amazing, although easy to miss in the shopping district once found you can see how beautiful this church looks.
As with the majority of Frankfurt this church was completely destroyed in WW2 but in the massive rebuild post war this church was rebuilt in the 1950's to most of its former glory,a new grand looking organ was added in 2008 to compete the impressive rebuild.
The church is found on Liebfrauenberg .
Well worth checking out.

This a good place to stop and take a look around. A pause from the busy hectic and noisy day. Stop and light a candle or just take some time to reflect on life here.

One of the buildings in the old city, surrounded by cobbled streets, all of which are pedestrianised. Well worth seeing.

The Church has a great interior and the Organ Pipes are really great.
The Courtyard has an old world charm.
However a modernist sales shop is taking up the sidewalk right next to the church. It just felt out of place.
