Part of the historic Sachenhausen district, the embankment of the river Main is home to many important museums including the famous Stadel museum. It also makes for a relaxing walk and hosts a flea market on weekends.

This is a pleasant walk by the river and a number of museums along the way. Eiserner Steg is an interesting way to come to the museum sufer area.

The concentration of museums on the south bank of the River Main makes this a great place to hang out. If the weather is bad, spend more time in the excellent museums - there are a lot! If the weather is nice, spend more time...More
