We were looking forward to a Museum of German history. The building itself (still under construction) was intriguing. However, we were met with a very surely staff member upon arrival and found it lacked in, well, history. The receptionist didn't appear to like her job,...More

The historical museum was found good with its items on multiple floors. It took half a day and we enjoyed it. There are tickets for admission and it is advisable to buy a general museum ticket for a number of the city museum over a...More

The building is also historical. 1-2 minutes walking to romer place. It has %50 discounted entrance fee with city card. Most of the collections of museum is dominated by princes and citizens. The museum has four floors.

I cannot preise this museum enough - so ok it doesnt have blockigster exhibits- the Master painters of a Renaissance building. BUT following an extensive overhaul, addition of new buildings, a complete Behang and some very clever displays it is one of the greats in...More

We hadn't planned to visit but the pouring rain and sideways blowing winds encouraged us to find a spot to hide in for a while. Located just by the Romer, this was a perfect spot and at just 7 EUR each it wasn't too expensive....More

This is more of a collections of items from former Frankfurt aristocrats as opposed to a museum of the city's history. It's a nice collection, but not what we were expecting.

Explores the modern history of Frankfurt. Lots of great paintings, armour, and other things from history. Also a section on the war. Building was pretty cool as well, and wasn't too crowded either.
