This place is totally fake and touristy. Nothing authentic about it. No need to make a special trip to visit. But if you find yourself near here, it's a decent place to grab a beer and people watch for a few minutes.

if you are tired of skyscrapers in frankfurt, then this is the place to be. A dive in the past, in this wonderful square full of traditional buildings

Got to say Frankfurt is not my favourite place. It's fine but just more of a business city. This is a nice part though .

This is the historical old market place or city center of Frankfurt. The square is very lively as it is filled with people. There are many nice historical buildings, which gives you a different feel from the modern city of Frankfurt.

Excellent way to experience the famed Christsmas markt in Frankfurt. On quiet days it is a place to see and be seen at the cafes and restaurants that ring the square. The side alleys can throw up architechtural surprises and the church is a gem...More

city hall in Frankfurt is called Römer, so here is the first stop of all tourists, an all time classic.

Beautifully restored area that you must see. Attracts all the tourists of course! If you want to eat somewhere try the streets off Willy Brandt Platz.

This is the heart of the Altstadt. It offers a decent view of medieval Frankfurt. Many of the buildings were rebuilt after WWI so it does not give the historic scenery available in other European cities. Worth a stroll but you can't stay long.

We visited Frankfurt at the time of the Nacht der Museen and this square was buzzing with all the action. It was crowded but the whole experience was very nice. Worth a visit.

Good day Rita D. As Minkung mentioned a few days ago, visiting the Romer can take up almost all of your time before you need to head back to the airport. It is also my 1st place to recommend you visit. Depending on when you... More
