Small place, interesting depending on the current exhibition and kid's age

The "museum'' (I find rather pompous to call it a museum) is quite well located by one of the entrances/exits of Hauptwache station. It is a small place that has rotational... read more

We drove a couple of hours to see the kinder museum. My son, an avid museum lover was excited to hear of a museum for kids. We should have researched it better. It has about a dozen station for the kids to learn trivial things and a playhouse area. My 9 year old enjoyed using a print machine from 1850,... More

The "museum'' (I find rather pompous to call it a museum) is quite well located by one of the entrances/exits of Hauptwache station. It is a small place that has rotational exhibitions for kids of different ages. This is important to bear in mind and I suggest you call first to know what they are showing and if it suits... More

The current exhibition, teaching children about Typography and the history of print is surprisingly interactive and fun. The interactive Computer display is great and the kids love being able to print out their creations. Will be back many times!

We visited here this summer. I was excited and hopeful, after finding out we had a kids museum nearby. I had visited kids museums myself growing up, in Brussels and Dublin, so I was hoping for my kids, to give them the same type of experiences. Alas, no... It is good, I cannot deny this fact, but good in an... More

The museum was closed; there was not even a sign to inform visitors that it is closed till the middle of July for renovation, let alone an apology for the inconvenience. A simple notice on the museum website would avoid many families from visiting the site in vain.

Hard to find, it's located in the lower section of an outside mall, near Starbucks. There's an elevator but it was locked, so mu husband carried our stroller down about 2 sets of stairs. The free portion of the museum was a small play room filled with different sized foam blocks that were covered with different kind of fabrics. This... More

My 2 kids were the only ones here on Easter Monday and spent their time interacting with one of the workers who spent time making things more advanced and interesting. A great way to spend a couple of hours and they were able to practice their German.

We spent a nice morning exploring this little museum in the heart of Frankfurt. The current theme is 'Collections'. After being given a box with English translations of much of the text around the museum, we started by looking at collections of many different things made by children: erasers, calendar cards, etc. We then looked through a Victorian-style curiosity cabinet,... Great little museum! The main part is really for kids 5 and over. They have several craft areas set up but just for the over 5 set. My son is too young but the crafts seemed to be really good. They were very well presented and organized. There is a play area for the little ones that is excellent. My... More
