They are currently building a new penguin exhibit. A larger portion of the zoo is under construction. The apes and monkeys we nice, however the stench was too much for my four year old. He cried to leave because it was too "stinky" for him. There wasn't much circulation in that area. We walked around for about two hours and... More

A lot of families with children are there. But we had a free Sunday and did not know what to do. So we decided to go to the zoo and that appeared to be a good idea. Interesting expositions, nice animals. A bit empty in the winter. But still plenty things to see. I guess that in the summer it... More

I really liked the zoo. It is in the city center, therefore very easy to access. I especially liked the sea animals section. A great deal of animal variation. It is a must if you have children!

Went there for 2 hours. The zoo does not have enough place for the animals. Because it's winter many animals were not there. To my view big animals don't feel convenient in there.

The zoo is too small the animals exhibit classic signs of stress. Their enclosures are too small to accommodate their needs. It's cheap but the animals pay a huge price

We like going to zoos when we travel as you get to see how the locals enjoy their city. Frankfurt was no exception. This is a pretty nice zoo, very accesible by U-Bahn (subway) and tram, but a bit of a distance from the city center (though still withing city limits). I especially liked the tiger exhibit, though they were... More

A nicely managed small zoo. We have season tickets so like to drop in every so often. On busy days expect to queue for a long time if you don't have a jahreskarte. Food outlets in the zoo not up to much so take a picnic

We recently visited here I must say it's very easy to get to by underground or by tram and the admission price is good. I found the enclosures needed some updating and the animals didn't look that happy there was a bear just as you walk in that was not happy. The aquatic section was good along with the reptiles...
