Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I was in this street with my girlfriend during a day in Frankfurt am Main. This is the walk along the Main River from the side of the old town. Along the boulevard you can meet numerous bars that overlook the waterway directly. The location is very suggestive and offers some point from which you can take beautiful souvenir photographs. A place not to be missed in the German city.

This was the best way for us to experience and get a sense of Frankfurt. A simple self guided walking tour that you can tailor to your inspirations.

This is the street alonf the river Main where you can best see the skyline of Frankfurt. It's even nicer at night when the buildings are enlightened. During the summer period many people sit in the grass and enjoy the sun and a drink where boats stop nearby and serve food and beverages.

Mainkai and Untermainkai are havens of peace away from the busy city, it is a lovely area to stroll, watch the barges plying the River Main and catch a glimpse of the Mainhatten skyline from the riverside. There are several cafes dotted along the promenade to while away a couple of hours. A visit here is recommended whilst in Frankfurt.

Even on a cool, dreary day in winter there were a lot of bikers and joggers on the path along the Main River. In the evening, the museums and churches across the river are lit up, some in various colors. I felt safe as I walked along, watching the boats and barges.

Took a two hour cruise on the Main River and decided to walk back to our hotel along the river. Since it was winter there weren't too many people- no bicycles to avoid. Many trees and benches along the way with signs directing you on where to exit for certain sights. Nothing particularly eye-catching but a bit of peace after the crowds at the Christmas markets.

Mainkai is a great possibility to skip away from the stressy business city. While sitting/ walking relaxed you will see a lot of businessmen going out of their offices to take a break. The area is nice, very calm, nice river views, there are some places to eat/drink/sit, so no problem to stay here even for some hours. But even if you would like to swich from the crowded rushing city to the nature for half an hour- this is the place. Then you can go to Römer and meet the crowds again:). From Mainkai you can make the river ride along Frankfurt, there is a place not far from Römer ( take the direction Dom- big old cathedral). The Mainkai doesn't offer something really spectacular, this is just a nice promenade. But good for romantic " easy walking"

On a lovely day my wife and I visited this part of Frankfurt and found it to be uninspiing. Dodging the myriad of cyclists was necessary.

I took my family for a quiet walk along the river here, you can take in the sights . It’s scenic! You have views of the skyline and bridge and plenty of greenery with benches to take a stop along the way! We enjoyed the peaceful stroll and took the opportunity to take some great pictures !
