Great place to go in the morning. Start your day out nicely with some fish, sunrise over the Harbour and a walk along the Alster

It's a really nice local market where you can get a variety of food and cheap clothing. I wouldn't say it's a must, but it's definitely worth a visit. The fish market is open on Sundays 5.00 - 9.30. However, we got there around 9.30...More

Every Sunday at 5am, auctions start here. A large selection of sandwiches with salmon, herring, crab or sardine. The cost of one 5 euros. Many local and tourists gather there.

You can find many things here aside from fresh fishes, such as cheap clothing, fruits, and other stuff. Many stalls here selling fish sandwiches at reasonable prices and good tastes. Take note of operation time was only until 9.30am, we were there at 10am most...More

Appears to be the perfect location by the waterside for a mass market. Unfortunately the market wasn’t in session the day we visited Hamburg Port, but having read a lot it seems this is one of those classic fish markets.

This fish market opens very early, so that the people who were out partying since Sat night can have a quick bite before heading home. We arrived at around 8am (online says that the market closes by 9am - NO! It doesn't!) In fact, you'll...More

This market is really nice but it requires to wake up early on a Sunday. It can be too crowded at times but overall I'd recommend a visit.

I love to visit the fish market. It's my favorite place in Hamburg. The first time I tried to stay up all night so we could arrive early but alas I'm too old for those games. Up at 5am. First beer at 5:30 flowed by...More
