I loved this beautiful park, set in the centre of town so easy to walk to from the middle of town. It has lots of different ares, wide sweeping lawns, kids playground, stunning Japanese garden and lots of lakes and a few fountains gushing too........there is even a greenhouse botanical garden, beautifully maintained with a huge variety of exotic plants... Beautiful landscaping, lots of Colours when I visited in April. Love the white and pink cherry blossoms the most! Best to walk in good walking shoes and bring bottled water and coins for use of toilets.

It's free to start with there a lot to see the green house is great. Your start with like a rain forest working your way to one with catus in it taking you as long as you like to

Pretty place with plenty to see. Went in the spring so would expect summer to be even better. Many chairs and benches for you to take a rest and enjoy the view. Would like to bring kids as there are several play grounds in the connected parks as well.

There were 2 big playgrounds here, one for toddlers and one for bigger kids which we visited every day that we were in Hamburg. We enjoyed our time here but only visited during the day and it gave the kids a chance to run off some of their energy on a city break.

I walked through the Japanese Garden section of Planten und Blumen on my way from my hotel to the Hamburg Messe and back every day for a week. In the morning it is quiet, with a few people walking dogs or running. In the afternoon, it is busy with many people commuting through the park, kids playing on the enormous... More

This is a beautiful area of Hamburg, that is quaint and quiet. The views of the gardens, plants and lakes are wonderful. It is a nice area to relax, reflect and enjoy the outdoors. Whilst your in the area go to the botanical gardens which are free admission and a wonderful palace of plants

The gardens stretch from the North of the City Centre right down to the waterfront and during the summer months have a good selection of places to eat and drink. Very few were open when we visited at the start of April and a lot of work was needed to tidy up the flower beds. Well worth a visit.
