If you are visiting Berlin and have a free day, a trip to Potsdam to see the Sanssouci Palace and Park would be well worth your time. Easily accessed by train to Potsdam and taxi or bus from the train station. The property is huge with lovely gardens (even in October). The main palace building is well worth viewing, as... More

This was seen as part of a guided tour that started in Berlin and ended up here. The tour started at 11 am and finished about 5 pm, our guide, Lucy, made this tour very interesting and informative. Highly recommended, and better to do this tour as part of a guided tour instead of on your own because you find... More

We came by car and parked in P1- the closest parking lot to the Sanssouci Palace. It is a short walk to the ticketing location. There is a lot you can do- visit the Sanssoci Palace, the extensive grounds, walk around the Orangerie, the Neues palace and others. We had about 3 hours so visited the Sanssouci Palace, walked through... More

Scholoss Sanssouci stands for "Without distress" in French. It was regarded as World Heritage by UNESCO in 1990 and was claimed to be the "Versailles of Prussia". Locating in Potsdam, which directly borders the German capital Berlin, do spend a day here wandering around and get enchanted by the magnificent palaces and gardens.

A beautiful palace in a park that takes a little bit of planning to locate. We took the train to Potsdam station from the Berlin Tiergarten station (25 minute ride). Once there, with some assistance from a kind local lady, we hopped onto a tram that took us within sight of the tall obelisk that signals the entry to the... More

You can reach this palace by S-Bahn train directly from Berlin and a visit is highly recommended. Stunning features and plenty to see.

Apparently the Versaille of Germany, this was a good walk to see various palaces and ruins. We did not go for any tours inside but comfortable walking shoes is a must. The perfect time of year where golden leaves scattered the ground beatifully provided a wonderful walking experience in Potsdam. Definitely worth getting a map to see the best of... More
