While the interior of this relatively small building leaves much to be desired, it is the symbol of prussian kind Frederic II.. Withinin it's surrounding, the park, the orangerie and the new palais. is becomes a masterpiece and is for sure a must see. You should take a day to see all together.

The palace itself and the surrounding are quite impressive. However, we did not enter in the Palace because there was a queue and we did not afford the time to wait. If you can plan to visit it during the hot period of the year it is a lot better as in February, when we visited it, many of the... More

If you're thinking of travelling to Potsdam to see the palace, bear in mind that "tours" are timed and you may have a wait. In fact it's an audio tour but accompanied by a single member of staff whose only job is to open doors and be rude to patrons. The palace itself has a handful of well decorated and... More

A lovely little treasure which would have rated higher if not for the cold, unhelpful and rude staff that work there ...was so shocked! But still a beautiful building.

My husband and I toured this elegant summer "retreat" of Frederick the Great in Potsdam enroute to Berlin after a river cruise. The grounds offer magnificent gardens and vistas--and the palace itself is charming and compact to prevent the overdose that can sometimes occur in such venues. It's also all on one level--so although it requires significant walking, it's quite... More

While it is a bit of a journey from the city of Berlin itself, it is well worth it. The palace is about a 30 minute walk from the train station that I'm sure would be lovely in the summer (although we managed to go on the coldest day of our December trip). The palace grounds themselves were a little... More

Sanssouci Palace might not impress much from the outside. Surrounded by beautiful gardens, its interior is rich in so many details and history that only seeing in person one can appreciate it fully. Absolutely incredible! Make sure you save at least half a day to walk around the premises and wear very comfortable shoes.

My husband and I toured Sanssouci Palace in early December when in Potsdam to visit the Christmas markets. It's very pretty. The tour we took was pretty rigid, in that you had audio phones, but were forced to stay in one room [locked] until the tour guide unlocked the next one. We only had time to see the palace and... If you wanna go there, reserve the whole day for it, because it's so huge and amazing! You have to see everything there, it's not just one palace, but few! And the park... so awesome, need to come back during spring or summer and walk the whole place again
