Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Böttcherstraße is in the city centre, about 100 meters from the Market Square. It is a pedestrian area, with most buildings dating from the beginning of the 20th century, belonging to the Brick-Expressionist style. A big part of the buildings were heavily damaged during WW II bombings and by 1954 they were restored. Another significant restoration was completed in 1999.

Böttcherstraße is one of the major tourist attractions of Bremen, with several art museums, arts and crafts workshops, bars, restaurants, shops. The carillon of Meissen porcelain bells at the Glockenspiel House is very popular with tourists.

This is a pleasant street to spend a while walking down. It is narrow and lined with historic buildings. Two tips, first walk from the old town hall as you may miss the gold wall plaque walking the other way. Second, look up at the buildings.

To visit Bremen is always worth it, but make sure to visit the Böttcherstraße with Bernhard Höttgers architecture and especially the Paula Modersohn-Becker Museum. It’s one of the gems in Bremen.

Wow! This felt like a magical street from a movie. Old, beautiful! Music from the walls, stores, museum. Best attraction of the city!

Interesting street. Some unique shops around and also hotels. The oldest building in this street is the Ludwig Roselius Musem.

A must visit in Bremen.

Even though it was still raining we decided to visit Böttcherstrasse.

This amazing street welcomes you with a golden piece of artwork called ‘Bringer of Light’ by Bernhard Hoetger.

After walking through the gate we were greeted with little shops, cafes are bars in 1920’s style expressionist architecture.

Charming little street with loads of small shops. Beware it can be overrun with tourists especially when the bells start ringing.

More great buildings, this time preserved by the inventor of de-caf coffee. Must see the Glockenspiel - wait till it's started then look left: the wall will move and reveal inventions and inventors (I think).

You have to visit the Böttcherstraße. The alley itself is beautiful and you can spend some time in the Museums, restaurants or cafes here. Don't Forget to see the Candy manufactory!
