The meeting place was easy to find. Our guide Matty ( I think it was Sorry) was really good and informative. We did a 4 hour walk and were happy we picked this tour rather than do it on our own. We saw all of the sites etc and we're well informed with information. It wasn't rushed or hurried along... More

We joined this tour led by Jess. Found him very engaging and knowledgeable. He's got a master's in history. Covered a lot of ground. Saw lots of sites. He gave it to us straight and answered all questions. Worth every penny and every minute. Highly recommended.

4 hour walk as an introduction to some of the main sites in Berlin. The tour was taken by Pip who was knowledgeable and entertaining. The tour was really good at bringing a human interest to the wealth of history in Berlin. Our children (9 and 12) enjoyed it so good for all ages.

The tour group were split in two to make numbers manageable, our guide, Jonathan, was very knowledgable and informative throughout. Lots of information given on where to go, what to see and what was worth spending time and money doing. Overall an enjoyable and informative experience that set us up to explore at our own pace.

Easy to find meeting place guide, Paul, a student was excellent giving us loads of facts and he went the extra mile by having reference books to illustrate points of interest. Walk lasted over three and a half hours but didn't seem like it. Definitely recommend.

We did the walking tour with Jessie/Jess as our wonderful tour guide. What a superb insight into the a fascinating city. Jess was informative and funny. The walk[it was sub zero temps!!] was well paced and gave us a compass to plan further trips for the rest of our stay. I'd recommend you do this early on in your trip... More

The tour was really informative and interesting. Pip gave us an excellent summary of the history of the wall and why it came up and went down. She was funny and super knowledgable. Everyone should do this tour with Pip in Berlin!

Staying in Friedrichshain

Neighbourhood Profile
Friedrichshain
When you arrive at Warschauer Strasse in the heart of the district, you have found one of Berlin’s party hotspots. At night in Friedrichshain, the energy is palpable and the streets of this old worker's quarter are full of street musicians. On one hand, you may find a bar with international crowds, electronic music, long lines and panoramic views - on the other, an outside venue by old train yards featuring decrepit buildings and live alternative music. No matter your taste, the best way to end a night out in Friedrichshain is sitting by the Spree River at the East side gallery, the longest and best preserved piece of the Berlin Wall, watching the sun rise over the beautiful Oberbaum Bridge.
