We went there for 5h and we could have spent another 2-3 as there bits that we didn’t have time to see.
Really interesting for all those technically minded (but not exclusively) and incredibly cheap for what you get =)

This museum shows many different technologies old and new. The maritime, air & space and railroading was very good, not enough time to see a number of galleries. Railroading is in two old round houses. Enjoy
Just awesome museum: so many different old transport devices from 18-20 centuries! I can recommend it to all who like ships, aircraft, cars and locomotives. But you should plan before - it could take several hours minimum to see all exhibits.
You should take time to visit this museum. A wide range of themes is covered. A lot of objects are presented. But most of them in a static, out of date way of presentation.

This is a huge museum where you'll easily spend several hours. I didn't see all departments and focussed on the trains, ships and airplanes. They have a particularly large collection of locomotives from the earliest to recent times. Make sure not to miss the second...More
You could easily spend a full day here, provided your interests are very broad. Unfortunately a lot of specific information is in German.
The new building is very beautifuly designed and filled with plenty of things to see and do. Definately bring the (smaller) kids.
