I did The Insider Famous Walk Tour where you visit all the famous spots in Berlin. My guide, Barnaby was a fantastic person, very funny and very insightful about the history of Berlin. It was a bit of a walk at around 6km (4.5 hours) and we had random showers but that didn't deter anyone from my group. We had... More

Barnaby from Insider walking tours made this tour as special as it could be. Been on walking tours before, only went on this one to kill 4 hours but boy was I glad I did. Excellent tour and the stories and facts Barnaby gives are class. You can tell the guy is passionate about his job, lots of jokes as... More

I highly recommend the WW II tour with Cesar Queruz. His knowledge of detail adds greatly to the experience. You particularly can get a feel for the final days of the Third Reich including the persistence of the Nazis and the determination of the Soviet troops. He talks about two incidents in the German resistance one less known and the... More

Absolutely a must. A real enjoyable informative and well-balanced tour. Barnaby was a fabulous guide who related well with everyone and it was only time restrictions that prevented us from going on more with him. Totally recommend

Jamie was our tour guide, and he gave a great insight into the activities and circumstances during the Cold War era. He knows his facts, and he is a passionate presenter. The tour lasts for about 4 hours including breaks and transport. I had the impression that all participants very much enjoyed the tour.

We did the Berlin, Famous Walk with Kenny, Hidden Berlin & All Main Sites. If you have never been before and wants to know all about the history of Berlin and the best places to check out in more detail - this tour is a must. Visit things not in the guide books and hear stories from the real people... More

This was a four hour walking tour that covered the basics of the cold war and the second world war. Our guide, Barnaby, did a fantastic job of providing an overview of the history of Berlin as well as pointing out many of the significant sites. Barnaby's humour and insight into the history was very enjoyable. This is a good... More

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighbourhood Profile
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
