Passed here by accident on the fist time. The square (Gendarmenmarkt) has got very nice buildings - The twin chuchers Französiche & Deutsche Dom plus the Konzerthaus in the middle.

Another of Berlin's beautiful buildings that allows access to the tower for a nominal fee. 250 steps up to the dome rewards you with lovely views across Berlin and over Gendarmenmarkt and surrounding buildings.

I truly enjoyed the experience. It is 254 steps to climb to the top (there is no elevator), but definitely worth it to see the view of the city from the top. It also provides a beautiful view of Gendarmenmarkt Square. A fun way to...More

I visited this area at night during Christmas. There was a very attractive Christmas Market laying in the plaza in front of the Konzerthaus, Deutscher Dom, and Franzoesischer Dom. There was a stage erected in front of the Konzerthaus with singer performing during Christmas day....More

Some steps to climb, mandatory. Great experience. Impressive views. Beware the sounds of the Carillon when inside.

we climbed the stair to see this magnificent view of the city center. It was around 3 euros and I liked much more than the view of the Park Inn I strongly recommend if you are near this place and have around 30-45 minutes.

Long walk up to the top but a nice aerial view of Berlin. Worth doing if you can withstand the 5-10 min walk up the stairs. Not recommend for those who have limited mobility

Gendarmenmarkt has got three beautiful building - Französiche Dom, Deutsche Dom and Konzerthaus. Very nice architecture, the church was built for the hugenottes, who left France. There are ver good concerts in the Dom, which never became a Cathedral.

Gendarmenmarkt sports two twin churches, the German church and its more beautiful sister, the French Church (Franzoesischer Dom). Remember that in the 17th century about a fifth all Berliners were French emigrants, mainly Protestants seeking shelter from Catholic France.

This church is a part of the Trinity Ensemble Trio of buildings of Gendarmenmarkt. There were two churches and one concert hall in this building ensemble. Neither of these churches ever became a cathedral. Fredrick the Great got this church built for the Huguenot Protestants...More

Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights
like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum
Island. The central location makes this one of the
city's most expensive places to live. It is here the
oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence
of some significant transformations, as well. The
gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets
between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given
