A great place for atmosphere, festive food and gifts. Easy to get to. Well worth a visit . We went to other markets and came back to this one as the prices seemed a bit cheaper

We visited several Christmas markets, this was one of the best. The large market has a wide range of stalls and entertainment, with lots of beautiful Christmas decorations for sale. Even when full of people, it did not seem overly crowded.

Lively square in the old East Germany. Plenty of shops, bars and good for people watching. Was told it was "rough" but not at all. Russian built tower worth the visit for the views and orientation plus an "I am a tourist" beer.

city's most expensive places to live. It is here the
oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence
of some significant transformations, as well. The
gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets
between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given
