The Sigmar Polke exhibit of his entire abstract work is great to see. Wonderful book, stationary and toy store and lovely cafe. Able to communicate in English and in an interesting Mitte neighborhood. Great activity for a cool rainy afternoon. Don't miss the second floor...More

Marvellous surprise. The exhibition My Abstract World had several large rooms filled with exciting modern art, mostly paintings. The surprise was made by interesting settings for a visitor to sit or lie down. And to an additional enjoyment you could use an old time phone...More

If you haven´t seen the Cindy Sherman exhibition at the Moma or at the Kunsthaus, go here. You get 65 portraits of this versatile artist and upstairs is a collection of the owner Olbricht. Weird and interesting at the same time like a shrunken head,...More

A great collection reflects the spirit of Renaissance. Besides their magnificant cabinet of curiosities, they also host temporary exhibitions and events. When I visited there was a Cindy Sherman exhibition.

Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights
like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum
Island. The central location makes this one of the
city's most expensive places to live. It is here the
oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence
of some significant transformations, as well. The
