It's hard to believe that such an average looking bridge has such an interesting history. It's in a beautiful location. Be sure to find the marker on the sidewalk that marks where the east and west side were divided.

Historical with quite a story behind it and now a hollywood film. Very good to see and something worth doing if you have time, so much happened here. You can visit and cross the bridge or take a boat underneath it.

This bridge connects Potsdam and Berlin, crossing the Havel River. The Havel River, for many years, formed a natural border between east and west Germany. This bridge, built in 1907, was damaged during World War II. During the Cold War, it was used many times...More

Historical site as featured in the movie with Tom Hanks. The bridge itself is simple and not impressive but the view from it is amazing. A must visit when in Potsdam.

As featured in "Bridge of Spies" this is the spot where Gary Powers came back from the cold. Fascinating stories and the mid-point is marked for photo opportunities. Lovely spot too!
