The area
Address
Neighbourhood: Neukölln
No Berlin neighbourhood is more popular with the young and jet-set crowd than the old worker's district of Neukölln. With so many Turkish settled here, the area became known as “Little Istanbul“. Today the percentage of foreigners is still high and visitors still frequent the Turkish shisha bars. In the daytime, they also visit the designer shops and sit by the canal in one of the street cafés up and down Westerstrasse or at Maybachufer, having a beer and waving to the sightseeing boats as they float by. But at night, Neukölln is dominated by increasingly young, alternative, and international crowds. This is particularly evident in the northern section of the district where there are many bars, funky clubs, galleries and restaurants. There, the night never seems to end.
How to get there
  • Rathaus Neukölln • 3 min walk
  • Karl-Marx-Straße • 6 min walk

What a great place! The ambient was so nice, the staff was sooo friendly, the music was amazing and the drinks were excellent! I went there with a girlfriend and she felt so good and safe (for once). No straight guys trying to annoy or catch her attention. Honestly one of the best clubs I’ve ever been to. 10/10! ️‍

A very cool place to be and some very cool people. As with all Berlin clubs be prepared to line up and wait your turn. Also be prepared to come out smelling of smoke. Unlike the UK smoking in clubs there is still legal, a shock to the system, but still a really cool place to be.

I would recommend it.

They have a huge dancefloor, plus two smaller floors with everything from disco to techno.

There is nothing berlinish over this club. You get in as long as you’re not drunk.

Have a dance, drinks, but nothing more.

Went to this place last night with friends.,The man at the cashier obviously does not like transwomen very much and made strange remarks about our ‚lifestyle‘. I guess Schwutz is a great place for young gay men. They should just clearly market it that way and skip the diversity camouflage.

No means No... Do not ask us for the reason you are not welcome.... so this is a welcome speach for the foreigners... After 20 minutes of the interview we got the permission for entry to this bar but the bodyguard strongly mentioned to his colleague (in german) “why you allowed them to go in?” They are strange.... “ Ok we spent 1,5 hour in the bar but not good DJ , nothing special in compare with other bars....

My partner and I went to SchwuZ along with some friends on a Saturday night for their gay night “buttcocks”. The club is very friendly and has a mixed crowd. There was a good variety of different music split across 3 different rooms which included gay cheesy music and more hardcore dance. The decor is very cool and they also have entertainment going on in the stage. Would highly recommend. I would also say to go early to avoid very long queues.

Berlin can be incredibly fun - in many ways - but if you want to hear great music, meet fun new people & dance, then SchwuZ is the place to go!

Our hotel was in Schoneberg, near many of the typical bars (RIU Plaza, definitely worth it) and after visiting many of them and all they had to offer, it was time for a change of scene. It was a bit of a ways in a taxi, but well worth the ride. This place has a traditional German dance music bar, a huge NON-smoking American music dance bar and even a bar for smokers, also mostly American dance music. The place had a friendly vibe to it, so it was easy to meet new people and enjoy a night well into the early hours (we left at 3:45am). We went on a Saturday night, so it was more of a typical club crowd -- mixed ages and genders. Cover was €10.

If you are looking to dance & have a great time and skip the attitude of Berghain, then check this place out!

Definitely worth visiting while in Berlin! I spent two Saturdays here and there is 2 huge spaces with commercial 80s/90s and one with Top 40 stuff, cheap drinks and pretty gay boys all around! Edith Schröder's Kiesdisco is NOT TO BE MISSED!

Wow - I was so happy to find a gay club that wasn't what I'd heard about clubs in Berlin - picky on who can enter based on looks. They let everyone in it would seem - which is great.

The club itself is split up into 3 dance floors with multiple places to just sit and chill away from the craziness. Each dance floor has it's own musical vibe. That being said, you'll have a hard time choosing which dance floor to dance at because they're all really awesome.

The drinks are fairly priced in relation to how much Berlin costs in general. The barmen are cute and really friendly. The music is fantastic and the club stays open really late.

Entrance is 10 EUR but it's worth every cent.

There is a bag holding space that costs 1 EUR for the evening.

It's worth mentioning that, as with any club, pick pocketers are abound and waiting for the opportunity to grab something off of you. Be vigilant and constantly check your stuff.

Overall - I'd choose this night club over any in Berlin
