Not the original, but very good and moving

Little museum which is very interesting and moving. Cheap entry fee to get in. Lots of amazing artwork outside Too and a cool cafe around the corner. Check it out.

You should use your GPS to locate the site as it isn't that easy to find without, but most definitely worth the effort. Interesting, informative, thought provoking an overall moving experience. Located in a unique setting which just elevated the time spent there onto another level.

Ok, this isn't the original (in the Netherlands) but there is a lot of information here and it is deeply moving. I've never been to the original, but would imagine you'd think been there, done that if you have, if not do not miss this, assuming you can find it (it's down an alley with no signs!)

A small museum but like all others in relation to this topic, very affective and thought provoking. It was tucked away and I don't believe it is as well known in Berlin as other museums but it is definitely worth a visit if you're interested in history, they also had some items on loan from Anne Frank's museum in Amsterdam... Really enjoyed this museum . Amazing to see the actual diary . Lots of lovely photographs . It's a little off the beaten track down a side alley but really worth the visit

All you need is 30-45 to see all in this Museum and that includes watching the short film. The actual diary is there at the moment, on loan from Amsterdam. It's a little difficult to find. It's down a side alley off the main road.

This was a great thing to do . It didn't take to long but have a great insight into the events that lead up the problems. They had lots of extracts of Anne franks diary as well as lots of audio and visual ways of seeing it. Defently worth doing .

We were so lucky to be able to seeing the actual Diary of Anne Frank here when we were here in August. It was on loan from Amsterdam. And definitely watch the video -- stand in line if you need to. The video is about 20 minutes long, and it tells the story of Anne Franks life by Otto Frank,... More

I find the story of Anne Frank fascinating. She write a diary that she thought no-one would read and writing kept her going. The context of what the outside world was like, alongside the fact that she was a young girl trying to fit in, makes for fascinating reading. I have seen films and plays on the subject, so was... Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
