Lucian was a great tour guide. Because the other two people that were supposed to be on the tour did not show - he tailored the tour to my wants. I really enjoyed the history and background of the Kreuzberg area, as well as, the locals knowledge and more recent history. The food and the shops were great! I would... More

We took the Storyline of Berlin tour in April, 2017. Our tour guide was personable, extremely knowledgeable as well as a very pleasant individual to spend the day with. There were only two of us on the tour; he presented the information well giving quite a bit of detail and kept it interesting throughout the day. One of us is... More

Lucian's tour of the Kreuzberg district was the highlight of our 2 week, 5 country tour! We apparently saved the best for last, as we took the tour the night before our flight home. We sampled at least 4 different types of specialties in the area and enjoyed insightful commentary and tasteful libations! Bravo to Lucian and Berlin Urban Adventures!!

Dear Mary Ann, thank you so much for your flattering review. It was indeed much substantial fun with you (the pleasure of discussions), I learned new things from you as well and I didn't feel working for a single second. That it turned into the highlight of your trip just makes me happy! More

I have been in tour with Lucian both for the Storyline tour and for the Hidden berlin tour. The tours are long and well structured and Lucian is a well of science! I love history and I am usually disapponted in the tours I take part to, because they turn out to be superficial in the end. These ones were... More

Thank you so much for your flattering words. It's always a challenge to have people who already know a lot like you and still surprise them with novelties. I'm glad I could manage with you. You were a delight to talk and spend time with. Cheers, Lucian More

We love Urban Adventures, and Hidden Berlin was no exception. Joanne was so interesting and knowledgeable - she answered every question, and with interest and enthusiasm, not like a bored tour guide. That is the difference between a tour guide and an Adventure Group Leader - you get to discover a new city with an educated and usually totally overqualified... More

We can highy recommend a tour exploring the Kreuzberg district of Berlin. From the moment you start the tour on the East side Gallery you are immersed in history, crossing the Oberbaum Bridge you enter the dynamic Kreuzburg neighbourhood and the rich tapestry of life in berlin. This tour really gets you off the tourist trail and you experience the... More

We were lucky enough to have a real historian, Pablo, as our guide for the day- Pablo had an obvious passion for Berlin and knew his German history in detail. We were a group of eight family friends and Pablo was able to really engage with us all and made the city and its past come alive. Being a walking... More

I took the tour noted above. Very thorough one. It gives you highlights of Berlin, places I will definitely go back & see inside (you do not enter, because there is not enough time), but still it was very interesting, Lucian my guide was great.

Staying in Friedrichshain

Neighbourhood Profile
Friedrichshain
When you arrive at Warschauer Strasse in the heart of the district, you have found one of Berlin’s party hotspots. At night in Friedrichshain, the energy is palpable and the streets of this old worker's quarter are full of street musicians. On one hand, you may find a bar with international crowds, electronic music, long lines and panoramic views - on the other, an outside venue by old train yards featuring decrepit buildings and live alternative music. No matter your taste, the best way to end a night out in Friedrichshain is sitting by the Spree River at the East side gallery, the longest and best preserved piece of the Berlin Wall, watching the sun rise over the beautiful Oberbaum Bridge.
