I am a huge aviation geek, so I loved the tour of this historical building. It is hard to put into words how massive Flughafen Tempelhof is in size. Building itself is gigantic, but it also sits on land the size of Monaco. It is...More

Very nice guided tour of the former Berlin airport. The English spoken tour takes two hours and gives a nice overview of this great historical place. Although it's an example of fascist architecture it is a impressive and beautiful example of good design.

Although the website showed the English tour as fully booked and having decided to walk a circuit of the airfield as a second prize, I was lucky that I popped in to see the FREE 'A Broad Field' exhibition and got the last available ticket...More

Thanks to our guide , Isabelle Knap, the fascinating history of Tempelhof came to life for us during a two hour tour of the building illustrated by captivating stories of, amongst others, the wartime and the blockade and airlift .

The building is monumental. At its inauguration biggest airport building in the world. Air traffic has been ceased years ago. Runways still here and rest a huge park with all sorts of activities without any cars, buses etc.

This place is a really interesting place to visit, even if just to experience it as a park. Plus there are plenty of signs detailing the importance of the former airport across the last century.

I can only agree with other people on here, no way to get into the building itself due to security and everything is locked, you can walk around the outside and on the old airfield and get some great photographs. The tour is... More
