Tempelhof was closed down as an airport in 2008 and some of the terminal building parts have been made available to public, however only on guided tours. The building's history is an interesting one, as the construction started still before WWII during the Nazi rule....More

The old airport has not been turned into offices. However a short walk around the site is enough to appreciate the importance of the airport and its place in history. It appears that tours are available which we will definitely research before our next trip....More

This park is used by many local residents to visit and exercise. We were on a bicycle tour and were able to ride our bikes down the former runways used to support West Berlin during the Berlin Airlift.
