Massive screen, even bigger sound. We went to see Rogue One in 3D - it was an experience. The seats are exceptionally comfortable.

Never compromise in your movie going Experience, especially if you are in Berlin where many landmark theaters are all around you. This is the city for culture and art and a true gate for the west world. knowing that, Cinestar IMAX is a true gate to the western cinema

We went to CineStar Sony Center to see Star Wars: The Rogue One in 3D. I used to work at a cinema and like visiting local ones when abroad. The theatre was okay and there seemed to be a good selection of movie snacks. The prices were very expensive (especially for Berlin), but I understand that the location is probably... More

During a very rainy trip to Berlin we looked for a movie to watch mid-afternoon. As we don't speak German we were limited to this Imax cinema showing Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find them in 3D. We inadvertently bought the most expensive seats and got a pointless (for us) sticker book. Arriving early, we went to use the toilets... More

The film that i watch at this cinema was Ben Hur. And that was a breathtaking experience. Great movie. Great sound and of course a big big screen. To sumarize it all. I great experience.

With good movies, good events, nice food (a little bit overpriced for Berlin but now crazy expensive) and a small selection of cool stores (lego, sony, etc.). The ceiling is awesome!

Films in English. They have a little prosecco bar and a lady that comes around with ice creams before the start of the movies. Loads of trailers. All in all one of the best cinema experiences I have ever had.

Apart from the great facilities, eight IMAX cinemas it is about the only place in Berlin where one can see the latest films in the original language not dubbed into German.

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighbourhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
