I joined a lovely group and learned much more than I'd dreamed of! Our tour talked about the war, the wall, the micro-geopolitics and the architecture with contagious passion and intelligence. We later found out she is a historian! It was also gay parade, but we managed to weave us through the city with no stress or crowds. A must.

I got the details of this bike company from the Welcome to Berlin guide, and it was off the beaten track for me. There are several bike tours in Berlin but I chose this one because they said they had to tell them bikes and I thought it would work well for my son and me. I couldn't figure out... More

We rented two basic bikes for one day, 15€ each. Service was OK, correct but unremarkable. Bikes were quite new and well maintained, no problems. A lock was also provided but no helmets. However, closing hour was a little early for us to profit the day (19:30). Also the price was not cheap, so maybe it is worth to compare... More

This company was unfair and disorganized. We rented 4 bikes to go to Denmark; 1 month before the travel we paid half and book the bikes. When we arrive in the shop; nobody knows about our reservation; nothing was prepared and they try to push us bikes improper for a long trip and different for the pictures sent by mail.... More

We rented a very high quality tandem bike which we took all around Berlin. The guys at the shop were friendly and helpful, and the bike worked perfectly. It was such a great way to see the city! I'd highly recommend this bike shop for anyone interested in renting a reliable bike for a tour of Berlin.

The tour was so much fun and it's a must! Berlin is very bike friendly and you see great sights in 3 hours which is otherwise impossible. Our tour guide knew so much about the city, told us about many historical and fun facts as well as contemporary discussions about Berlin. Also great tips ;) I'd definitely do it again!

if you go to Berlin, never rent a bike here, you can be sure everything will go wrong and you will pay the double price in the end.

Four of us hired four bikes for a long weekend. All bikes were very well specced and maintained - fast, light, comfortable, practical. Everything was as per our email booking. We also took a private bike tour and had a fantastic, English-speaking guide for four hours.

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
