Wanted to visit the centre but I was met with the rudest ever security woman who would not speak English, although she made it clear that she understood me. To those who read this the incident took place on 06 December at 12:20pm. Please make...More

it's amazing that people make it seem that this is an active synagogue. They redid the shell but there is no synagogue inside. I was under the impression that the great synagogue of Berlin was something to see. It doesn't house a Torah it has...More

We visited here on a day dedicated to Jewish life past and present in Berlin. The dome was familiar and very famous because when you see newsreels of crystallnacht there is an indelible image of this synagogue on fire--which incidentally was extinguished by the Berlin...More

We visited this synagogue believing that it is a fully restored working place of worship. Externally, it makes quite a statement, built in the mid to late 19th century in the Moorish style as a showpiece synagogue for the Jewish community. Inside, after the expected...More

I visited the Neue Synagoge in September 2018. This synagogue was set on fire on November 10, 1938 by the Nazis during Kristallnacht. There is a famous photo of the synagogue on fire. Luckily, it has been rebuilt with beautiful domes. It is a little...More

This old synagogue was destroyed by the Nazis but has now been reconstructed and looks quite nice. Trees along the street partially obscure the view but still can get a decent look from a few vantage points.

I thought it was worth the visit inside. You can see the vibrance of the previous community in Germany, now only a fraction of what it used to be.

We enjoyed our visit to this museum. The exhibition about the expulsion of the Poles in 1938 was a good reminder of significant events that got buried by other events. The building itself is intriguing, but even more so the stories of those who remember...More

We've visited Berlin numerous times as our son lives here but only recently paid a visit to the Neue Synagogue. The permanent exhibit was very informative and described Jewish life in Berlin the pre war times. We also paid to climb the domb.

The Neue Synagogue was one of the highlights of Berlin. I was surprised that this type of structure still remained from the pre-war days, thinking that such places were destroyed. The golden dome can be seen from all over Berlin and is quite a sight....More

The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights
like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum

city's most expensive places to live. It is here the
oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence
of some significant transformations, as well. The
