Fantastic views and you get a discount with the Welcome Card. Didn't try the restaurant. Expensive bar!

Beware, make sure you choose the right time to get in! It took so long messing around with queues and security by the time we had got in the fog had rolled in. Free wifi available but very intermittent. Toilets inside and a small bar/cafe and a gift shop. You can buy tickets at automatic machines outside (recommended) or inside... More

We didnt go up. The christmas market downstairs was more appealing;) But we did like the story that we can see a cross draw by the sun light at the sphere...

It's a tower that gives you a great opportunity to look over berlin. I thought the price was acceptable.

Flew in late to Berlin, therefore we were limited as to what we could do that evening. I booked tickets for the late night entrance to the TV tower and had the most stunning views of the city. We were then able to plan out what we were going doing for our following few days. The bar had a very... More

I went up to the observation deck, 203 m tall, wanting to see Berlin by night. I was not disappointed, the views were amazing. You can see a few of the Christmas markets and also the Brandenburg Gate can be seen quite clearly. There is a good view all around as you can see 360 degrees over the city.. There... More

The TV tower is a must see while being in Berlin. Great views of the city. The restaurant on the top requires a booking and it's quite pricey

I thought it was a little pricey to go up to the top, but we didn't mind as was a tourist attraction we wanted to do and it is a great view from the top. We had around an hour wait before we could go up so decided to look for somewhere to eat but the area around the tower... More

The queue was a little long but worth booking in advance if you can. The Berlin Welcome card gives you a discount so better to book at the desk as you can't get the discount online. We managed to get a table at the revolving restaurant without booking so were lucky, had a lovely meal and coffee with great views... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
