Neighbourhood: Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
How to get there
- Augsburger Straße • 6 min walk
- Wittenbergplatz • 6 min walk

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The shopping mall is located near Kaizer Wilhelm memorial church and is close to the famous Kurfurstendamm avenue. The mall dates back to the 1960s and is rather dated in appearance with the "Clock of Flowing time" - a water clock located in the atrium being the only unique feature of the mall.
It is home to fashion shops, restaurants and pubs and a Saturn store. Fashion here is more practical and everyday wear rather than the high end shops in the area. A popular Irish pub is located in its basement.
A great destination if you are looking to buy some clothes without maxing out your credit card or for a drink or two.

The Europa center has nice stores and an interesting art called "flowing time clock" which is really phenomenal to see. The cafes are née but the best is Tiffany. it has a nice indoor fountain to make the ambient beautiful and relaxing. The center also has a piece of he wall (kept inside a glass) which is another art form worth seeing. nice place to visit and eat. The only down side is the basement which has terrible smell of cigaretes due to two pubs and Bavaria (they allow smoking there).

I went there to buy a jersey and a scarf from the Hertha Fanshop. Impressive mall with many stores and an exhibition in the middle of it.

The Europa Centre Berlin is home to quite a few things that you will find useful whilst in Berlin. The first of these is Berlin Tourist Information centre. The staff here are so polite and helpful. Remember to take your passport if you are going to buy a Berlin Pass or Museum Pass.
There are plenty of shops here too, from clothing, to smokers' accessories, souvenirs to food and drink.
There are several places to eat and drink. All of the staff speak excellent English too - which is really embarrassing as my German is so poor - but the English speaking visitor will feel welcome here.

Travelling to Berlin? OK, you really have much to see and to do, but make sur that a visit to EUROPA CENTER is one of these things. In this mall you have almost everyting together : Souvenirs, books, records, varity of food choices, a unique clock with green fluid, electronics, clothes and a lot more - all this being right in the heart of Berlin with the Zoo, Ka DeWe and Kudamm right outside. And of course: Every night great live music in the Irish Pub. Do not miss it!

Although I detest shopping while on holiday in don't mind heading to the huge Europa Centre.
It's a massive complex with all the usual retail outlets you would expect to find plus lots of fast food restaurants.
What sets this apart for me is that I can go to one of the best Irish pub's in Berlin namely Irish Pub Europa Centre and a great Bavarian beerhall called Baverium, both are located next door to each other and our places I love to visit for a meal, drink and listen to live music.
I also get to go and see the fabulous Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church which is a great reminder of the destruction of WW2 and also visit the world famous Kurfurstendamm, all close by,there is also the superb little tourist attraction called World's Fountain which just looks cool.
A superb shopping centre and well worth checking out.

Europa Center is an average shopping mall, but there's a great place to buy oversize shoes called "Kaufmann" . However, the best thing is the water clock. It's a system of glass tubes with liquid circulating inside. Watching how it works was just fascinating.

Not what it once was, the main draw now is a very good McDonalds and Saturn for electrical goods and smaller outlets.
