This a department store..but on the sixth floor it becomes a wonder of food and drink like nothing we have at home. Littered with every kind of nosh under the sun this is a truly a wondrous place to wander. But it's the civilised way they treat their customers that makes this place special. .around almost every corner there's somewhere... More

I heard it's very nice place to visit for shopping , but eventually preferred the shops outside. Maybe it's worth to go up for the 6th floor with some desserts & drinks. A place only for a rainy day , won't bother to come again.

What can be greater than KaDeWe? The after-Christmas clearance sale at KaDeWe-- that's what! UNBELIEVABLE mark-downs on posh designer labels. As much as I enjoy the Berlin Christmas Market, I secretly want to be in Berlin at Christmas time to shop!

As my hotel was just around the corner from KaDeWe i saw it everyday on my visit. at first it didn't really impress me in fact i thought it was way over the top in most things especially prices. but comparing it to Galleries Lafyette in down town Berlin the pricing wasn't much different on things such as food items... I didnt have enough time to look all over. I could only check the home floor and the gourmet floor. You can find almost anything you want here. Especially the gourmet floor is where I spent most of my time and money. There are spices, sauces of all the cultures there.

KADEWE is the best attraction in February! Temperatures in February were running 17 degrees while KADEWE was a balmy 70degrees. Only quality goods are displayed and sold here! Love the old fashion building and the great assortment.

I love this store!!! Although it's far from the city center, the HoHo bus stops right at the front door, and KaDeWe is a great place to shop for housewares. Great fun looking at the extensive selection of housewares and the

This is the top of the line Restaurant and coffee shop at the top floor of Berlin's best Shopping centre. It is located in central Location in Berlin, and in my opinion you can find nearly everything there if you are in a Shopping frenzy. Additionally it Features a world class self-service and fully serviced Restaurant on the top floor... More

Staying in Schoneberg

Neighbourhood Profile
Schoneberg
In 1963, Schöneberg was the centre of the political west, inspiring John F. Kennedy to choose this area to famously announce, "Ich bin ein Berliner." Times may have changed, but modern-day Schöneberg still pays tribute to its historical legacies. Once the richest city outside of Berlin proper, the area's affluent past is still visible in ornate housing facades dating back to the Gründerzeit of the 19th century, while residents in fur coats walking their dogs or shopping in high-end KaDeWe continue the tradition with a modern flair. Schöneberg was also once the centre of the decadent and burlesque nightlife of the 1920s. It was here that Marlene Dietrich partied with Christopher Isherwood and the first gay bar in Germany was founded. Today, the gay community still revolves around Nollendorfplatz. The overground Ubahn station is even illuminated in rainbow colors, paying tribute to Schöneberg's progressive past.
