This was a quaint aquarium but was not lacking in fun sea life critters! Our small children enjoyed it as much as we did! They could have spent all day there! The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. They even had some exhibits to touch some of the animals.

Good for a rainy day with children, although not that spacious and can get crowded at the weekend. Enjoy the irony of eating fabulous sushi nearby afterwards

As a keen person to explore these attractions for my love of turtles I was excited to be visiting this one in Berlin. It was set out lovely with great lighting and going all out in making the individual areas attractive I.e. Fish netting, boats etc However I did feel disappointed as I didn't feel like there was enough to... More

A little bit expensive but surely worthwhile: fishes, mussels, cnidaria and much more. Right for families, highly recommended to learn more about the life in oceans!

This isn't the greatest aquarium I've been to but it's a pleasant day, especially if you have families. The main attraction (and the reason we went) was for the huge AquaDom, effectively a building size hollow vertical aquarium tube where you can take a ride from floor to ceiling and back again enjoying the aquatic life. They're actually in two... More

I was expecting to see some big fishes, sharks crocodiles or something. It was not bad but for me did not worth the money. Also big lines and waiting. Our local aquarium in Crete for much less money is much much better

Travelling with kids is not always easy. They do not always enjoy sightseeing, but still, you do need to take their feeling into accounts. This is just right place in Berlin, both kids and adults would appreciate. You do not get to stay surrounded by a huge fish tank (AquaDom) everyday in your life. You will be taken into a... More

Get a combined ticket to Madame Tussauds and Sea Life & Aquadom and enjoy the marine life! Uploading with the elevator in the largest aquarium is a unique experience!

We were really excited for this experience, sadly we ended up being very disappointed. The Aquadom elevator is closed between the 16th and 21st of January. We prepaid and were only told this after arrival. Trying to get a refund from the surprisingly rude staff was impossible. I wouldn't like anyone else to go through this bad experience. After doing... It's a very nice place to go with the children. It's not big, but it's very well organised and it was fun for my 12 years niece. You will be there approx 1 - 1 and a half hour

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
