Pop stars, war figures, sportsmen, actors, TV stars, both German and international. We spent there about an hour but it felt like a minute - we laughed a lot, took pictures and fooled around. It's a great place on a cold or a rainy day, or when you need an energy boost for further longwalks around the city :) Recommended!

Even if it's not as big like in Amsterdam, it's a nice place to go with children. They will have fun making photos with Lisa Minnelli, or Brad Pitt. The most attractive (for my niece) were the Star Wars figures Approx 2 hours

This was my first Madame Tussauds experience; I haven't even visited the one in my home town. I had a pretty good time taking photos with the wax figures, bought the photo that is taken right after entrance. Staff was very friendly and they wear T-shirts saying 'I'm real' on the back, really helpful. The wax figures look so real... More

I got to go randomly. It's one of the best places to take photos, so please don't forget your camera and selfie stick. It was a shame I didn't got to see Britney Spears and Marilyn Monroe's figures since they were in manteinance. Nonetheless, it's an awesome place to go.

If you combined Madame Tussauds with the LEGO Discovery Center and/or SeaLife Aquarium and/or Berlin Dungeon, you can get a pretty good deal and then the price would be reasonable. We were here for this trip only a short time en route to Hamburg (and have seen SeaLife and Lego Discovery Center on previous visits) so visited only Madame Tussauds.... More

I've visited many Madame Tussauds and unfortunately the Berlin exhibition isn't one of my favourites. I understand that they are mainly showcasing German celebrities, but just a little bit too much in my opinion. There are some well known characters, but not as many as in the other ones I've visited before. I believe that locals would enjoy the exhibition... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
