OK, this may have been the most fun tour ever! I've always wanted to tour on Segways, and I didn't want to just putter around at a snail's pace. So, this tour was PERFECT!!! We saw so much in such a short time (relatively) because our tour guide Tom gave us the latitude to do as much as we felt... More

iTS' NOT FUNNY to ride here. it's very danderourghs, cause of of a lot of banananas. people in Berln don't like those riders. They disturbe the pathways- Pathaways are full with pedastrianss, old people, oung trial booters and so on. So don' t do this. Go by feet!!

Tour the city with a competent friendly guide, Walid,- knew us all before we left, helped each of us, knew his history (actually made it fun) and enjoyed his work. It is a great overview of the city. Next day from the Dome of the Reichstag I was able to trace some of the paths and sights from the day... More

I had never been on a Segway before and was a little dubious when I first climbed on. Got the hang of it in no time and off we went on a tour of Berlin, with Kyla as our guide. She was great, very knowledgable and friendly; giving us time at each location to take photos. Started at Berlin cathedral,... More

Great guide and brilliant tour, the best way to see town in one day. My husband and I enjoyed it and would recommend it to everyone! Just great!

I only hold the regional driving license, do I need to have an international driving license to join the tour?

Hi 183carmenw, Thank you for your enquiry! All participants on our Segway Tours must have a full and valid driving licence and carry this with them on the tour. We are able to accept all licences written in English or German and so the licence does not necessarily have to be an international one. We hope to see you on... More

Looked outside my hotel window at 7am and saw beautiful partly cloudy skies so I made my reservation at for the 10am City Segway tour on the same morning. Confirmation voucher popped right up on my iPhone within minutes. Followed Apple maps to exact instructions on which subway takes me right to the starting point. Presented myself at 9:45am as... Easy to book, easy to get there, very good material and excellent organisation. Our tour guide TOBI was simply perfect, always smiling, great sense of humour, and excellent knowledge of Berlin's history. We were a small group of 4 persons (2 americans, 2 mexicans), so he could take care of all our questions. In total we spent nearly 3 hours,... More

Booking over here was easy and meant we just needed to turn up at the meet point with our driving license. It took us a while to locate the rendezvous point, but we were early and once we'd walked around the TV tower at Alexanderplatz (typical - we walked the long way round!), all was well. There were 5 of... More

The Segway tour was informative and a lot of fun. They feel quite safe and by the end, you don't want to give the Segway back! Plus you'll see a lot more sites in a shorter time. Our guide from Ireland, Kieran, was fun and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend!!

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
