One of the German cities with pretty well intact town walls. Worth walking round, as the city gate houses are worth seeing. Also the views over the surrounding countryside are good

Offered a great view of the city. Lots of places to get on and off - so you can do as much as you want.

A ton of different views you can get by walking the walls. Very scenic scenery from walking. Have done it a few times and would do it again.

Gotta pass this one to visit the alstadt of Rothenburg. Doubt you can do it without taking a picture.

Worth doing, We walk the wall with each visit and it never gets old. I love the views. Their are stairs to go up and down therefore not good for anyone with mobility issues.

This classic walled city is impressive with how intact the walls and gates are. Worthy of a walk around a portion of them, they are easily accessed and you should walk a piece of the wall to experience what things may have been like. The...More

Take a walk around the historic fortress and see the city from all sides. It's a nice walk and you can exit at any available staircase closest to the area you wish to shop or find your car.

A lot of the stones and brick have names on them of people who donated to the restoration. In the snow do watch your step (everywhere) but you will have a magical view in the snow. Enjoy!

There are many places to get up onto the wall. I would recommend simply walking along the wall until you reach a staircase. There are plenty of these access points along the way.
