Very good one of the most interesting attraction in Rothenburg

Nice museum, with a lot of interesting things displayed that make you understand the evolution of Christmas traditions. Unfortunately when we visited it, it was partially closed.

So many santas, holiday lights, and ornaments to see! There is a "free" portion and a "for pay" area. Always crowded. If you don't just LOVE Christmas, and are obsessed with all things Christmas, you could do just the free part. This is a great place to get a trinket to bring home from Rothenburg, since it is known for... More

So amazing. Even though we arrived already dark since it was winter, I was so happy to see the Christmas village museum. I saw the wonderful world of Christmas in different themes. I visited this place in my bucket list

The museum portion is small but nicely done, depicting the history of Christmas through exhibits. The attached Christmas shop is bigger, offering a large variety of Christmas fare and decorations.

Do you know everything about X-Mas? If not, please come here to learn everything about the tradition of X-Mas tree decorations, to find out the difference between Santa and Father Frost. Take money with you as in the same building you will find large fairy selection of X-Mas tree decorations. This place will definitly bring back you childhood memories!

A self guided tour with English signage. Some of the collections are privately owned. Lot of history and interesting to see the evolution of how Christmas was celebrate then in comparison to today.

A bit of disappointment. Definitely i would not pay next time 4 euro for several small rooms with old Christmas decoration. The shop where museum located is much more impressive.
