I loved this small beautiful city. By my opinion this was even better than Rothenburg ob am Tauber. Quiet town, not so touristy, beautiful houses. One minor thing, there is hard to find souvenir shops.

We spent about a half day wandering through the very pretty, well-preserved Dinkelsbuhl Altstadt. Old buildings and cobblestone streets make one feel like he or she has stepped back in time. The town also features charming shops, cafes and restaurants. Free parking is available on...More

We enjoyed walking around this old town and looking at the old buildings and cobbled streets. A morning or afternoon would suffice to see most of it and also enjoy a local beer in one of the many cafes.

This town is just as beautiful as its famous neighbor Rothenburg. In this town people actually still live, it has not been taken over by souvenir shops and groups of tourists. Very charming!

My wife and I went during the Kinderzeche festival, and it was the highlight of a 2-week trip to Germany and France. Forget the Oktoberfest in the rest of Germany, especially in Munich: go to the Kinderzeche festival in July here instead, especially the first...More
