I missed it my first time in town. On the edge of the old town, the church is surprisingly bright and airy upon entering. It's off the beaten path so it can feel more churchy than museumy. I recommend.

Possibly the most beautiful rococo church we saw in Germany. Should not be missed. Make sure you also see St. Rupert's Church while you're there.

Located not far from Turn & Taxis Palace. It is a good place to reflect on church history. We were the only visitors when we were there.

This stunning church is so light and bright -- very inviting! The art on the ceilings and walls is gorgeous -- walk about and enjoy it from many angles. Entry is free and photography is permitted. This was not part of our walking tour with our River cruise, and we sort of fell upon it by happenstance on our way... More

St. Emmeram Church is located close to the Thurn and Taxis Schloss, about a 10 minute walk past shops from the Cathedral of St. Peter. Although similar in style inside to Alte Kapelle, I was able to enjoy seeing the rococo interior of St. Emmeram without an iron barricade blocking my way. St. Emmeram church was surrounded by very old... More

We couldn't find the Thurn and Taxis museum. This church was unbelievable! A bit gaudy for a church, but beautiful. Go south from the St. Peter's Church. Turn right at the open area then left. About a 10 - 15 minute walk. Don't miss it! The Taxis museum was a miss by us. Be bold and find it. We should... More

This beautiful church is a part of Thurn und Taxis Palace. It's a must visit and you can do it before or after the tour at the palace.
