We just did the path from Passau to Vienna with Rad + Reisen. They did an excellent job setting up the hotels and taking our luggage from place to place and the bikes were pretty good. My only complaint is that they didn't give us...More
This was our second time biking on the path. A few years ago we did a self-guided tour with luggage transported between hotels. This time we did a bike an boat trip. Both were great experiences. The path is mostly along the river and without...More
We went I the rain and even that didn’t take away from this beautiful bike path along the Donou (Danube)! It is quite amazing how little development there is along the river— I can only assume that is because the land is privately or government...More
We did a bike/boat cruise with Donau Tourtistik in September. It was a lot of cycling every day, from Passau to Vienna. The path is excellent, with rarely a moment when you have to be in a bike lane next to traffic. Many villages are...More

I am 20 miles East of Linz cycling the route and have seen a lot of people skating certainly parts of the route in fact I was overtaken by one guy on skates today! There are parts which are being reconstructed so I have been on gravel for half a mile or so and other parts has been on roads other than cycle paths. Generally the paths have been very good and smooth. Can’t really help to much as I don’t skate but good luck.
