WOW! Absolutely beautiful Cathedral. And the organ concert was fabulous. WOW! 5 organs with around 18,000 pipes. Sweet music and experience.

A lovely old cathedral, which I thought was great, although ornate not nearly as ostentatious as most cathedrals. Beautiful paintings & decorations without the glitz of gold everywhere

Passau Cathedral is THE most stunning religious building I’ve ever seen. Baroque adornment way over the top. Largest cathedral organ in the world. Not to be missed.

The organ music fills this elaborately decorated cathedral. Ceiling and walls paintings as well as carvings to compete with the Sistine Chapel.

A lovely church, though while it has the largest organ in Europe, we didn't hear it because there was to be a service and we were ushered into and out of this church very quickly. This was the first stop of our river cruise and...More

Words cannot describe the beauty of the interior of this church (the outside needs restauration). Most walking tours will stop here but local guides can not give commentary inside the church. Worth spending 20-30 minutes exploring the intricate details of this amazing cathedral.

This church has been around since 1693!!! Amazing! Passau gets flooded regularly but this is on the highest part of town. They have the largest organ in Europe (used to be the entire world) and if you get a chance to hear the organ concert,...More

We were on a river cruise and ended here. We did a guided walking tour and on our free time we returned and went inside. The exterior is pretty but the interior is stunning. So detailed and ornate, I loved it!

Passau was the third stop on our Viking River Cruise. St Stephen's Cathedral was the highlight of the cruise's walking tour. We had been to Gothic Cathedrals in prior cities (which are very dark and gloomy by design). In the Gothic times Catholics believed you...More

This was nearing the end of my tour, and i have to admit, I was getting tired tired of the ABC of Europe travel. The ABC stands for 'Another Boring Church.' But this church did not follow the ABC - instead it was Amazing Bavarian...More

I would think that it would be as we were moored at the furthest end of the bank and it only took us 20 minutes to walk back.

I think you can get tickets either online, or the day before. I am not sure they perform every day, again you might need to check online.
