I drove all the way and parked in front of The Imperial Castle which was built on and of sandstone. The rock-cut cellars in the castle hill below have been used for centuries to brew and store beer. The view from the walls to me is more impressive than the castle it self There is a public toilet outside but... More

We were only in Nuremburg for a Day but managed to explore this castle. Very interesting all around, and the museum has a lot to look at. Little kids wouldn't be so interested, but our teens loved the ancient weaponry. Don't miss the chance to listen to the talk about the deep well. It is cool.

Other than the mini sausages, visit the castle and museums and you've covered most of Nuremberg. There's actually lots of hidden attractions - esp if you're in museums but I recommend starting with the castle to get an overview. Climb up the towers and then plot your day up there.

The castle looms over the city - you often notice it as you walk around the centre. I think it's worth a visit. On arrival you have to buy a ticket from the visitor centre in the inner courtyard. The museum section is in three parts: - first a grand entrance hall, then a small plain chapel on three levels... More

Well the Berg in Nuremberg is a great place to visit and there is a lot to see. There are many rooms, artefacts, information about the kings, barons, and lords of history. It has a good to get an idea of how Germany was shaped. There is a very impressive selection of weapons, armour, clothing. Also go up the tower... More

I loved the view of the city from the castle and also the nice tour they offered. You can buy a combo ticket for the castle and tower at an affordable price of 7EUR. I spent about 2 hours there exploring the different rooms that were open in the castle itself, as well as the small chapel. They had a nice... More

View from castle to Altstatdt was awesome. You could see churches and all kinds of cool places. Castle itself was interesting and it had nice palace museum. Tour included palace chappel and other rooms. Also, there was lots of cool history such as weapons, guns, stories about swedes etc. Absolutely worth of 7€ they charged.

Amazing view over the city. Explore it from every angle, then walk down - sit in one of the cafes and enjoy the medieval atmosphere of the city.

It's a very pretty Castle, with great views over the city. The place wasn't overtly busy when I attended which was nice. There's wasn't overly a great deal to do once has appreciated the building and view, however the surrounding area has plenty of shops and cafes for the walk back down.

Thank james j
