I already knew a bit about the history surrounding this building and was hoping it would bring to life the things I had read and heard about it. I wasn't disappointed. It was a very moving experience. The courtroom itself was open on the day we were there and the information on the audio guide and in the room itself... More

Along with the Dokumentationszentrum, this is a must see in Nuremberg. Like me, you may have learned in general about the Nuremberg trials, but it is a good opportunity to go and visit the courthouse where they took place, learn more about it in detail, have records, excerpts and photographs of that time. The material collected and the exhibition is... More

Undoubtedly the place worth visiting. It's a place where you can learn a lot about dark period of European/world history. The exhibition is well organized. However, maybe it should be a little more interactive. In addition, it's very easy to get there by public transportation.

Must see when in Germany. The history of the buildings...to just think about it is overwhelming. A step back in time.

The turn of the 20th century palace is a marvel by itself. Its size brought history knocking at its portals. The nazis used the largest courtroom 600 for their kangaroo and political trials. In the same room the international military tribunal meted out justice to the nazis. The room 600 is still in use and when not so you can... More

All the horror of Nazism here has found punishment and all humanity here has found justice. No history book can let you understand how important has been our ancestors' fight for human rights.

U1 brings you here from the central station in Nuremberg. The tour of the palace of justice covers every aspect of the Nuremberg trials and beyond. Entry is 5 Eur and the audio guide is free, this is a must for non-german speakers. You will also get a chance to sit in the viewing gallery of the infamous court room... More

Tour was inexpensive and self guided with audio. I am interested in the history of this time period and learned many things that I did not know. I got to sit in the courtroom and learn the history of the room and more about the trials. I found it helpful that their was a mock up of how the Americans... More

We attended this with a tour and it made the experience so much better. To have the local knowledge of a historian was an asset and was easily able to answer any questions we had. The court rooms are well preserved but are just court rooms without the accompanying information.
